I. General Rules
1. No
excessive cussing, racial slurs, or derogatory comment in ANY chat channel while guild tagged.
2. Members will maintain a positive conduct in all aspects of the game, whether it is with the guild or with other players on the server.
3. Trash talking about the guild and its members will not be allowed.
4. Intentional deguilding will not be allowed, if you have an issue please talk with an officer, we do not know your issue until you tell us yourself. Very rarely will we let someone reguild after a deguilding under certain circumstances and after an officer vote to be allowed back in the guild.
5. As a courtesy to the guild, we ask that if raiders are contemplating leaving us for any reason and applying elsewhere that you please deguild before doing so. We hold no grudges against people that are looking for other guilds due to raiding times, progression, or any other reason and wish you the best of luck, but we would like to avoid feeling like we are a backup guild
6. Using the guild bank and other members to constantly improve yourself or make money without helping the guild will not be tolerated, for the guild to work everyone must work, help out and you will receive help back.
7. We will not tolerate battleground AFK'ers or bot'ers. While PVP is a completely different aspect of the game, a temp-banned/perma-banned raider is no good to us.
8. Raiding progression content with another guild other than FYS will not be tolerated and will get you immediately removed from the guild. Raiding with other people during FYS raid times will also not be tolerated.
Remember the guild leaders and the officers are here to help you and everyone needs to help back. We do not always know what issues might exist so please help by communicating any issues or concerns so that they can be addressed rather than stirring up issues in the background.
II. Guild Invites
Friends and family members are more than welcome to a "friend invite" as long as they know that they won't be raiding. If they wish to raid, they will have to apply as a raider just like everyone else. Friend invites must still adhere to the guild rules that apply to them.
III. Main & Alt Character Rules
Upon joining the guild the character that you declare as your main should be the character that you should keep all your focus on. This will be the expected character that should be available for raiding and kept well equipped and prepared. There will be no switching of mains unless it is to switch to a class that's needed for raiding progress and it is approved by guild leadership. This is help avoid an overflow of a single class. We expect you to know how to play your class well and if you have any questions to feel free to ask. We expect everyone to always pursue new ways of improving, because there are always ways to improve.
Alt characters will be treated as they are named. These should not be treated as a main in any way, such as requesting guild bank items and expecting large amount of guild help to level/gear these characters. There is no limit to having alts and having them guilded, we just ask you take care of your main as a top priority. Raiding rules for alts are listed under raid rules.
IV. Raiding Rules
During raids we ask that all members respect and listen to the raid leader(s) at all times as well as any class/role leaders that may be appointed. The success of our raiding depends on everyone doing their part and playing their characters to the max of their abilities. It also requires everyone to listen to directions and follow what they are asked to do. Raiding and leading them is hard work and is not to be taken lightly, we ask members to not be offended when we are trying to help keep these raids in line and moving smoothly.
All raiders will be expected to read up on fights prior to us reaching them. We do not expect everyone to know the fight and strategies perfectly but helps the raid for everyone to have a general knowledge on how the fight goes.
Raiding Requirements
1. Ability to listen to and follow directions
2. Use a raiding talent spec and are able to use it effectively
3. Be able to at least listen to Ventrilo
4. Use the in-game calendar to confirm your attendance to the raids posted. It takes 3 mouse clicks to do this. If you refuse to follow this rule, we will refuse to invite you to raids and eventually you will be removed from the guild.
5. Reading the forums regularly is mandatory for all our raiders. Failure to follow this rule will result in disciplinary action and eventually get you removed from the guild.
6. All raiders will be properly enchanted and gemed at all times. The guild bank, when possible, will cover most, if not all, of enchanting and geming expenses. Raiders will also be prepared for raids at all times with at least a food buff and a flask/2 elixirs for the entire allotted raid time. There are raid consumables in the guild bank available to raiders if they are unable to obtain consumables with a valid reason. The guild bank will not be raiders primary source of raiding consumables.
Failure to follow this rule may result in not receiving loot.
7. Use the following mods:
-
Omen Threat Meter
-
DeadlyBossMods
-
Paladins: PallyPower
We would like to avoid petty arguments over loot, raid spots, poor attitudes so we ask that everyone keep a good attitude, be mature, and be able to take criticism when things go wrong. We all have the same goal and that is to progress so please trust your officers and raid leaders.
The use of alt characters for raiding is not allowed except in certain situations. Alt characters may be used if they are requested by the raid leader due to the needs of the raid group to run or if an instance is purely on farm and there is no danger to the run with the bringing in of alts. Alts may not receive any loot over a main. For alts to be considered for filling in spots that we are short on classes they must be properly geared for the position.
V. Attendance Requirements
Our raid schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 8:30pm-12am server. We ask that our raiders keep a 75% raid attendance over the course of 8 raids (usually 2 weeks worth of raids). If you have special circumstances that affect your availability but you still think you can be a valuable asset to our guild, feel free to apply.
Raid Attendance credit is given to all those that signed up via the in-game calendar and are online to receive a raid invite, regardless of if they actually get to raid or have to sit out. Additionally, if a raider is signed up and unfortunately late, that person can let an officer know that he/she is available to raid if needed. This will also earn that person Raid Attendance credit so long as the raider is online for the remainder of the raid (doesn't matter which toon as long as they can be called upon to raid) AND no more than half of the raid time has elapsed; half of the raid time is 10:30pm. The only way someone that was late passed 10:30pm will receive credit is if that person is actually called upon to join and finish the raid.
Raid Attendance is tracked for the last 8 raids on our
Attendance page.
VI. Loot
All items
Raiders must currently have a 75% attendance record over the last 8 raids to be eligible for loot. This does not apply to new recruits that have not been a part of the guild for at least 8 raids. We use a roll system and pick the winner according to some basic rules. If the highest roller meets the attendance requirement, has not received loot in the current raiding week, and is fully and properly enchanted and gemmed, they win the item. If any of those conditions is not met we move on to the next highest roller. If all rollers have received loot in the current raiding week, the highest qualifying roll with the least amount of items received wins.
Due For Loot
If a full time raider (above 75% attendance) has not received loot in more than 2 weeks, that raider will receive priority on the next item they roll on. The attendance page will show them as Due For Loot (DFL). If two people are DFL, the person with the oldest last loot date will receive the item.
Officer Veto
In the rare occurrence where the officers unanimously decide that a member does not deserve a particular item over another member or unanimously decide that a certain item is not suitable for the winner of the item, the officers may disqualify that roll and move to the next highest qualified roll.
Please note, each individual's ability to follow these rules and demonstrate a team spirit will be considered in loot/raid spot decisions. If you feel that you are being left out or passed over, please read through these rules again and make sure there isn't anything you've missed.
